Monarch Watch

One of the most captivating insects on the planet, monarch butterflies have been experiencing a tremendous decline in their population over the last couple of decades. In an effort to help, Calvert Stewards and naturalist staff are collecting data for multiple monarch citizen science projects.

Volunteer Opportunities include:
  • population surveys
  • monarch tagging
  • habitat restoration
  • data entry
